Born in the United States, Rowena lived in Mexico for 21 years while she worked as a translator, educator, and artist. Upon her return to the U.S., she taught a wide range of language and literature courses at the university level. A two-year experience managing a group of ecotourism units in Mexico has helped her to understand the needs of visitors and newcomers to Mexico. Nowadays, she supports intercultural relations through online courses and private services such as writing, editing, translating, coaching, and consulting. Rowena holds three master’s degrees (comparative literature, European studies, and religious studies), a graduate certificate in literary translation for Spanish, and a bachelor’s degree in studio art.
